Who should attend?

This course has been designed to meet the needs of all who work in the Spirits industry: brand ambassadors, sales, marketing for wholesalers, or all who work front of house in the Service industry; be it in a hotel, restaurant, bar, night club or event catering. Market trends and current statistics for brands and beverage consumption are an integral part of the course.

The course combines the production methods, the categories of spirits and the choice of stills available. Swiss legislation on distilling and serving of alcoholic beverages are an integral part of the course.

A professional approach to tasting and assessing all the main categories of spirits and how to assess their quality.

We will introduce you to the principles of the service and mixology (cocktail category), according to each style of spirit and the choices available for service.

The legislation and market trends within each category of spirit is part of the product knowledge covered by the course.

To gain the Level 2 qualification, candidates will be required to:

Successfully complete

  • Spirits knowledge – a multiple choice paper of 50 questions

For managers and employees of a restaurant, bar, hotel or nightclub (subject to the L-GAV / CCNT) in a Canton that does not offer a subsidy for continuing education, we offer a 10% discount on the price of the course at our main premises and also in the Canton of Ticino.
